The English Football Association announced that right-back Reece James will miss England's next two matches in the 2026 World Cup. This decision comes as a result of his hamstring injury, as the player had complained of muscle tension after the friendly match against Ghana, which was held on Tuesday, June 23. James did not participate in the team's training on Friday, which prompted coach Thomas Tuchel to confirm that he was excluded from traveling with the team to New York, where the England national team will face its Panamanian counterpart. If England qualify for the knockout rounds, James will also miss the round of 16 match.
