Realizing the dream: A rookie player stands out in Draft 2024 after a long absence

In Draft 2024, Byeong Kwan emerged as one of the most interesting names, even though he was the last player to be selected. This selection came after a long period of absence due to injury and military service, making his return to action even more dramatic. During his time at Chunggam High School, Byungkwan achieved good results, but since there were concerns about his performance, there was not much interest from scouts. However, SSG management selected him in the eleventh round, to fulfill his dream of becoming a professional. After joining, he received high praise from team officials, who described him as possessing great talent. However, he had elbow surgery, which resulted in him missing the season. After recovering, he resumed his training in the second team, where he performed at an outstanding level in friendly matches.  In his debut on May 24, his performance was not ideal as he conceded three points in one round, but he quickly regained his form in the following matches, recording positive numbers in several matches, impressing team officials. On June 5, he showed off an impressive performance against KT, conceding no runs in 3.2 innings. He also recorded a ball speed of up to 151 km/h, which indicates a clear improvement in his performance. Byungkwan appears to be on his way to becoming one of the mainstays of the SSG team, as the coaches are working on developing his skills, including developing a change of pace ball. He is expected to become a top player in the NBA if he continues like this. His future looks promising, as he is expected to perform strongly in the coming seasons.
