Tears and depression in Canada after Koné's horrific injury

Canada achieved its first World Cup victory with a crushing 6-0 win over Qatar, but that success was overshadowed by a horrific injury to midfielder Ismail Kone. After the game, coach Jesse Marsh and his teammates were still in shock over the incident.

The injury occurred when player Assim Madibo intervened forcefully on Kone's leg, which led to his leg bone breaking. Everyone on the field was shocked, including team coach Jesse Marsh, who expressed his feelings by saying: “We heard the cracking sound, and we know it is serious.”
