Zeller joins Preußen Münster to strengthen the defence

Lukas Seeler, former defender of 1. FC Schweinfurt, has joined Preußen Münster after the latter's relegation to the third league. Zieler's transfer is seen as an important boost to the team's defence, as the club seeks to return to the competition.

The club's sporting director, Jan Obhus, spoke about Zieler's qualities, saying: "Lucas is a big, strong defensive player. He has the ability to defend actively and with good speed. He is 1.94 meters tall, which gives him extra strength in defence." Obhus also pointed to Zeller's ability to use both feet, which will add stability to the team's style of play.

Seeler began his professional football career at a youth training centre, initially moving to Hannover 96 before moving to Wihn Wiesbaden. Over the course of three years, he played 36 matches for the second team of SG Hoffenheim in the regional league. After a spell with 1. FC Schweinfurt, where he became a regular in the team, Zeller returned to the club in January 2025 after a short trial with FC Rotwiese Erfurt.

Last season, Seeler made 33 appearances for Schweinfurt in the Third League, but was unable to prevent the team's relegation. With his move to Preußen Münster, Zeller hopes to achieve success with the club, saying: “Preußen Münster has done well in recent years and is now seeking an ambitious comeback.” Seeler is the second player to join the team during the summer transfer window after Mika Stollmacher, and confirms that he is ready to do everything he can for his teammates.
