Ajax finishes its preparations by facing Volendam

Ajax Amsterdam announced the end of its preparations for the new season, as it will face Volendam in a friendly match on August 2. This confrontation comes after Ajax played several friendly matches against clubs such as Panathinaikos, AEK Larnaca, Wolfsburg, Olympiacos, and Burnley.  The Ajax match against Volendam is scheduled to be held after the team has played its first official match for the new season, as the second match of the European League (Conference League) qualifiers will be held on July 30. At this stage, Ajax will face either Vojvodina from Serbia or Frencvarosi from Hungary. Ajax was able to reach the second round of the Europa League qualifiers after defeating FC Utrecht in the qualifying stage on penalties, and that match was held at Volendam Stadium. Due to the concert series, Ajax were forced to move to another stadium, meaning the team will conclude their preparations at the stadium where they celebrated at the end of last season.
