But before proceeding with the appointment of the technical director, it is necessary to choose one or two people to manage the “Club Italia”, which is responsible for coordinating all the teams, including the young teams. According to Corriere dello Sport, Paolo Maldini is considered among the candidates for the position, along with prominent names such as Gigi Buffon and Gianfranco Zola.
The list of candidates could also include Claudio Ranieri and Demetrio Albertini. After that, the national team's head coach will be appointed. According to the newspaper, the appointments may be made by July 1, as Roberto Mancini is considered one of the most prominent names proposed, although his departure in 2023 may be an obstacle, but this may be addressed through his field choices.
