iorentina signs Dragushin for 20 million euros

Fiorentina announced that it had reached an agreement with English club Tottenham to include Romanian defender Radu Dragocin, who will return to the Italian League after a period in England. The transfer deal was based on a paid loan of 1.5 million euros with a mandatory purchase of 17.5 million euros.

Dragushin is expected to arrive in Italy this week to undergo medical tests on Wednesday and sign the contract with the club coached by coach Fabio Grosso. The work of sporting director Fabio Paratici played a decisive role in completing the deal, as he had previously tried to include the player in the team during the winter transfer period.

This deal is considered a major strengthening of Fiorentina's defense line, which needed a reliable defender accustomed to the international environment. Dragushin, who moved to Tottenham from Genoa in January 2024, played 48 matches in various competitions, but suffered a serious cruciate ligament injury in January 2025. Now, the Romanian defender looks set to relaunch his career in Serie A, having enjoyed successes with clubs such as Juventus, Sampdoria, Salernitana and Genoa.
