PEC Zwolle is seeking to sign an attacking player from Denmark
PEC Zwolle are in negotiations to sign Elias Sørensen from Valerenga as an attacking reinforcement, with a multi-season contract.
PEC Zwolle hopes to strengthen its ranks soon by signing 26-year-old Elias Sorensen. Sorensen is expected to move from Norwegian club Valerenga, where he has a multi-season contract ready for him. Sorensen is considered an important player as he previously played for Almere City.
The club is looking for attacking reinforcements after the departure of Kai De Roig, who moved on a free transfer to Real Valladolid, in addition to the return of loan players Shula Schortier and Jan Faberski to their clubs. This situation made the club's attacking options minimal.

Sorensen usually plays as a left winger, but is also capable of playing on the right side. He started his career early at Newcastle United where he joined the club's academy. He has been loaned out several times, including in the 2020/21 season to Almere City, where he scored five goals and four assists in 24 matches.
After leaving for Esbjerg and Portsmouth, Sorensen joined Valerenga at the start of 2025, where his first-year performance was excellent, scoring 12 goals in 28 matches. But this year he was not at the same level, scoring just one goal in ten matches. Coach Geir Bakke was also sacked from the club in May after five defeats in the first ten rounds.
If the deal goes through, Sørensen would be a welcome reinforcement to PEC Zwolle's attack, and marks the club's first actual signing of the season, after the club previously completed the signings of loan players Theis Oosting, Thies Velthuis and Tom de Graaf.
