Joseppe Pompilio takes over as sporting director at Atalanta
Giuseppe Pompilio has been appointed as Atalanta's new Director of Sports Operations, after 13 years working under Christian Giuntoli.
Atalanta FC announced the appointment of Giuseppe Pompilio as the new Director of Sports Operations, making him one of the most prominent names in the club’s administrative structure. Pompilio, who is considered a close associate of Christian Giuntoli, has worked with him for the past thirteen years, and this appointment comes as part of the club's efforts to enhance its management competencies.

In an official statement, the club expressed its delight in appointing Pompilio, who has a strong academic background as a law graduate, in addition to his experience as a manager at prominent clubs such as Fano, Carpi, Napoli and Juventus.
Pompilio will assume the responsibilities of organizing, coordinating and improving all operations related to the sporting aspect of the club. Atalanta FC, including the Percassi family and the Pagliuca family, welcome Pompilio and wish him success in his new mission.
