Bronze renews her contract with Chelsea until 2027

England international Lucy Bronze has signed a contract extension with Chelsea until 2027. The experienced defender moved to Chelsea from Barcelona before the start of the 2024/25 season, and has become a key part of manager Sonia Boumbasor's squad, making 56 appearances and scoring five goals, helping the team win four titles over two seasons.  Bronze said: "With the move to Stamford Bridge, it's a very exciting time to be part of the team. I feel like this is the right decision for me at this time. I've really enjoyed the last two years at Chelsea and being back in England, and I feel like we're in a place now where we're progressing as a team." Bronze has made 148 appearances for England since her debut in June 2013, scoring 22 goals, and was a key member of the Euro 2022 and Euro 2025 winning sides. She started all six matches at Euro 2022, scoring in the semi-final win against Sweden, before featuring in the final against Germany at Wembley.
