France achieves a major victory over Norway in the 2026 World Cup

The match of the third round of Group I in the 2026 World Cup ended, where the Norwegian national team met with the French national team, and the match ended with France winning with a score of 4-1.

The match was held at Gilt Stadium in Foxborough, United States, and was officiated by referee Michael Oliver from England. Ousmane Dembélé opened the scoring in the seventh minute, giving the advantage to the French team, then added his second goal in the twentieth minute.

The Norwegian national team's response came quickly, as Tilly Osgur was able to score the goal to reduce the difference in the twenty-first minute. However, Dembele returned to score his third goal in the thirty-second minute, confirming his country's superiority.

With this win, France topped Group I with nine points, while Norway ranked second with six points. In the round of 16, France will face Scotland, Paraguay, Sweden, Belgium or Cabo Verde, while Norway will meet Côte d'Ivoire. The group stage continues until June 27, with each team competing in three matches, and two teams from each group qualifying, in addition to the eight best third-placed teams.
