Agostini: "Allegri's decision is right, with Hoglund he can reach 20 goals"

Masso Agostini, a former player for Napoli and Milan, expressed his confidence in the attacking capabilities of the Napoli team under the leadership of its coach, Massimiliano Allegri. Speaking to Toto Napoli Radio, Agostini emphasized Hoglund's development and Lukaku's potential contribution, noting the new coach's influence on young players.

"Hoglund has made an important step in his first year in a difficult tournament and in a demanding city," Agostini said. "He has scored against opponents, but he has to raise his level further. He knows the tournament and can become a striker who scores 15-20 goals. Coaches like Conte and Allegri know how to exploit the capabilities of strikers with such qualities."

Agostini also expressed his support for the club's choice of Allegri, saying: "When a coach like Allegri accepts to coach Napoli, it means that he knows that he will fight to win. If the management provides him with a competitive team, he will know how to work with young and veteran players."

Regarding the possibility of forming an attacking duo, he added: “If Lukaku returns from the World Cup under the right circumstances, he can be restored. With Hoglund, it will be a high-level attacking duo.” He also pointed out the importance of Allegri in promoting talent, concluding by saying: “Injuries gave Hoglund the opportunity, and now he can prove himself.”
