France Football is ready to play in the future Quả Bóng Vàng 2026.

France Football magazine surprised the fans by announcing that three players had won the 2026 Ballon d'Or, as the names of Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappe, and Harry Kane were revealed, hours before the scheduled awards ceremony. On October 26, while football fans were awaiting the results of voting for the most important individual award in the world of football, three articles appeared on the France Football website talking about these players as winners, sparking widespread controversy among followers.

The articles published by the magazine were presented as if they were final results, pointing out each player's achievements that made them worthy of being crowned. In Lamin Yamal's article, it was mentioned that he became the youngest player in history to win the Ballon d'Or. While Kylian Mbappe's article discussed the consistent performance he provided with Real Madrid over the years. As for Harry Kane, the article highlighted his amazing scoring numbers with Bayern Munich during the 2025-2026 season.

The strange thing is that these articles remained available on the site for half an hour before they were deleted, but the pictures taken of them spread quickly on social media, sparking many discussions about the identity of the real Ballon d’Or winner.

Later, France Football magazine confirmed what had happened, explaining that "some articles that had been prepared in advance to introduce the candidates had been published inadvertently. These articles were prepared for all the candidates and cannot be considered as evidence of the voting results or their final rankings."

Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappé, and Harry Kane are considered among the leading candidates to win the 2026 Ballon d'Or. In the end, Harry Kane was announced as the winner of the award during the ceremony held in London on October 26. Kane's win marks the end of a 25-year wait for English football, since Michael Owen won the award in 2001. This achievement is a milestone in the career of Kane, who is considered one of the best strikers in the world over the past years. Kane grew up in Tottenham's academy and went on several loans to clubs such as Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich City, and Leicester City before becoming the London club's main goalscorer. After that, he became Tottenham's all-time top scorer, and moved to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023. In Germany, Kane continued to score goals efficiently, and finished the 2025-2026 season with 73 goals in 65 matches. In addition to the Ballon d'Or, Kane was also named top scorer of the season.
